The FREDA Centre is a joint collaboration of academics at Simon Fraser University, the University of British Columbia, and community and women's organizations working at the grass-roots level.
The FREDA Centre is committed to participatory action research as defined by the community, and works in the interests of the community.
The FREDA Centre's research focuses specifically on violence against women and children, and encourages collaborative partnerships between communities and academics who are working to end this violence.
